Wide-open spaces for cricket and footy and lots of space for riding your bike.
The bluestone heritage listed woolshed was built originally by the Chirnside family who imported Scottish stone masons in 1864 to construct it. The stone was quarried on the property and the design is the same as three others they built on their properties around Victoria. It originally was an internal twenty stand woolshed to shear their 90,000 sheep, but now we operate it with an external board for 5 or 6 shearers. We shear in December and January.
By prior arrangement, you can join John, the fourth generation owner, moving sheep, checking lambing ewes, feeding stock, or you may prefer enjoying the wonderful views from your verandah or in winter snuggling up with a book in front of the fire. The country gives you a chance to connect to nature, to listen to the birds and feel the breeze on your face.
